1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the use of the Spanglish website, services, and participation in any events organized by Spanglish.
By accessing our platform, booking or attending an event, or engaging with our community, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, you should not use our services or participate in our events.
2. About Spanglish
Spanglish is a community-based language exchange and cultural events platform operating in Paraguay.
We organize in-person and online events focused on language learning, networking, and social interaction.
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:

Provide accurate and complete information

Have legal capacity to enter into agreements
We reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
Users may create accounts using email, password, Google login, or email codes.
Accounts may also be created automatically during booking.
4.2 Account Responsibility
Users are responsible for:

Maintaining account security

Protecting login credentials

All activity under their account
We are not liable for unauthorized access caused by user negligence.
5. Event Registration and Tickets
5.1 Booking
Event bookings are subject to availability.
A booking is only confirmed after payment is approved.
5.2 Ticket Ownership
Tickets are personal.
Group tickets remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
5.3 Admission Rights
We reserve the right to deny entry to participants who:

Violate event rules

Engage in disruptive behavior

Appear intoxicated
-
Harass others
No refunds will be provided in such cases.
6. Payments
6.1 Accepted Methods
We accept payments through:

Paraguayan bank transfer
-
TPago / Bancard
-
Bitcoin / Lightning
Availability may vary per event.
6.2 Payment Approval
Some payment methods require manual verification.
Tickets are confirmed only after payment approval.
6.3 User Responsibility
Users are responsible for keeping proof of payment until their booking is confirmed.
6.4 Pricing
All prices are displayed in Paraguayan Guaraní (Gs), unless otherwise stated.
Prices may change without prior notice for future events.
7. Invoices
Invoices are issued only when RUC information is provided.
Users are responsible for providing accurate tax data.
Incorrect data may result in invalid invoices.
8. Event Changes and Cancellations
Event details (date, time, location) may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
Users will be notified of significant changes.
Spanglish reserves the right to cancel events if necessary.
9. Refunds, Cancellations, Ticket Transfers, and Payment Verification
All event ticket purchases are non-refundable.
9.1 Event Transfers
If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your ticket to a future event of the same type (e.g., Spanglish Social or Lingo Night), provided that:

The request is made at least 24 hours before the event start time

The new event has available capacity
Requests made after this timeframe, or failure to attend without notice, will result in the loss of the ticket.
9.2 Ticket Transfers to Another Person
Tickets are personal and non-transferable by default.
However, you may request to transfer your ticket to another person by contacting the Spanglish team at least 24 hours before the event.
All transfers are subject to approval.
9.3 Payment Confirmation and Missing Tickets
It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they have received a booking confirmation.
If you have not received a confirmation email, you must contact the Spanglish team at least 48 hours before the event.
In most cases, missing confirmations occur because the payment has not been identified.
To verify your booking, you may be required to provide:
A. A payment receipt, or
B. A screenshot from your banking app showing:

The transaction or debit
-
The payment date
-
The name used for the payment
Failure to report this within the required timeframe may result in the loss of your booking.
10. User Conduct
Users agree to:

Respect other participants

Follow staff instructions
-
Avoid abusive or discriminatory behavior

Comply with local laws
Violations may result in removal without refund.
11. Image Use Authorization
By attending any event organized by Spanglish, including but not limited to Spanglish Social, Lingo Night, and any other event within the Spanglish community, participants grant their free, express, and informed consent for the capture and use of their image.
This includes photos, videos, and other media, solely for promotional purposes.
12. Intellectual Property
All website content is owned by Spanglish or its licensors.
Unauthorized use is prohibited.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Spanglish is not liable for indirect damages

Participation is at the user’s own risk

We are not responsible for lost belongings

We are not responsible for third-party services
14. Health and Safety
Participants are responsible for their own health and safety.
We may refuse participation if safety is compromised.
15. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failures due to events beyond our control, including:

Natural disasters

Government actions
-
Pandemics

Power failures
-
Internet outages
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
17. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Paraguay.
